Oud-Heverlee Leuven recently obtained its youth license. Next season, our youth teams will play again at the Elite 1 level. The highest level in Belgian youth football. The OH Leuven Banqup Academy continues to perform strongly year after year. We have risen to fifth place, ahead of renowned clubs such as Standard Luik, Antwerp FC and KV Mechelen. This season, several young players have made a good impression with the first team, including Wouter George, Davis Opoku and Christ Souanga. In previous years, several talents such as Mandela Keita, Joël Schingtienne and Richie Sagrado made the transition from the Academy to the first team and abroad. This good work is once again rewarded with a place in Elite 1, the highest level in Belgium. For the fourth year in a row, OH Leuven has even risen a place in the ranking. "Our youth development is an essential pillar of OH Leuven. That we have risen to fifth place in the Elite 1 ranking today is a beautiful recognition of the hard work that is delivered daily within our academy and confirms that our youth development has taken strong steps in recent years. This achievement is the merit of our players, coaches, staff and coaches, who together build our club, and at the same time a motivation to continue building the future of OH Leuven," said Frédéric Van den Steen.
